working principle
The working principle of the GEA CE 536-00-34 horizontal screw separator is based on centrifugal sedimentation. The material to be processed enters the high-speed rotating horizontal cylindrical bowl through a fixed feed pipe. Due to the effect of centrifugal force, the denser solid particles quickly settle onto the bowl wall. The spiral conveyor inside the bowl rotates in the same direction as the bowl at a slightly different speed, pushing the settled solid matter along the bowl wall towards the conical end.
The solid substances are discharged through the conical end outlet, while the clarified liquid flows out of the bowl through the adjustable weir plate and enters the equipment casing. The entire separation process takes place along the entire length of the cylindrical bowl, ensuring efficient liquid-solid separation.
